Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Viro Homes uses, our consent-first model, and the specific analytics and functional tools we rely on with links to each provider, and shows how to manage your choices.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage, pixels, and third-party scripts and SDKs. Together, these help the site work, remember your choices, keep you signed in, and measure how the site is used.

  • First-party vs third-party — first-party cookies are set by Viro Homes; third-party cookies are set by our providers (for example, analytics or chat tools).
  • Session vs persistent — session cookies last only for your browsing session; persistent cookies remain for a set period or until you delete them.

3. Necessary cookies and storage (always on)

These are required to run the site, keep you signed in, secure your session, and remember your cookie choice. They do not require consent:

  • access_token — keeps you signed in during a session (short-lived, HttpOnly cookie).
  • refresh_token — securely renews your signed-in session (HttpOnly cookie, up to 30 days).
  • Storefront and cart tokens — maintain your storefront sign-in and remember your shopping cart before you sign in (local storage).
  • Cookie-consent record — remembers your cookie preferences (local storage, up to 12 months).

4. Analytics tools we use

When you accept the Analytics category, we use the following third-party tools. Each is operated by its own provider under its own privacy and cookie terms:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google) — measures page views and site usage. IP addresses are anonymised. Privacy · Cookies
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — captures aggregated usage and interaction insights such as heatmaps. Privacy · Cookies
  • Vercel Analytics (Vercel) — privacy-friendly visitor and page analytics. Privacy
  • Vercel Speed Insights (Vercel) — measures real-world loading performance. Privacy

5. Functional tools we use

When you accept the Functional category, we load these optional features:

  • Tawk.to — live chat so you can message us from the site. Privacy
  • Cal.com — appointment scheduling so you can book a consultation. Privacy

Google Maps Platform is also loaded to power address autocomplete when you enter a delivery address in the furniture store; it is used only for that feature and may set Google cookies (see policies.google.com/privacy). Our enquiry and brochure forms use a separate, keyless city-only look-up powered by Photon / OpenStreetMap, which resolves only to a city or town and never to a precise address.

6. Managing your choices

You can accept all, reject non-essential, or customise your choices the first time you visit, and change your decision at any time by selecting Cookie settings in the footer of any page. Non-essential tools will not load until you allow them, and turning a category off stops the related tools from loading on future visits.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, including sign-in, from working.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because our analytics and functional tools are off by default and load only with your consent, our consent banner is the primary way to control non-essential cookies. Browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals may not be uniformly recognised across all tools; our consent-first approach is designed to protect you regardless.

8. Changes and more information

For how we handle the personal information collected through these tools, see our Privacy Policy. We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools change; the “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision. Questions? Email info@virohomes.com.
